Bonjour Everyone!!!! Hope everyone had great Labor Day weekend. I had an awesome weekend spend in Montreal, Quebec. Montreal is a city with its history and pride. It has a very long and beautiful French past, which has made it one of Canada’s most historic cities. Montreal the “Paris of North America “ with countless museums and galleries, the second largest botanical garden in the world, and offer parks scattered all over the city, there is plenty to keep you busy. In addition, the Old Town is beautiful and filled with jazz clubs, historic buildings, and world-class dining. French-inspired cuisine and an eclectic nightlife leave little to dislike about this city.
One of the highlights of the city is Notre -Dame basilica. The Notre-Dame Basilica is situated beautifully so that it’s exceedingly peaceful both on the outside & inside, Built in 1672 and currently the largest house of worship in North America. I was mesmerized by its art and architecture. It stands at the edge of the Old Port and its sanctuary is a marvel of stone, statues, and stained glass. Few other highlights of the town were Vieux Montreal, which is old Montreal, Cobblestone Street and port Montreal. My personal favorite was St. Joseph oratory of Mount Royal with a spectacular view of Montreal. Few others places we visited were Olympic stadium of Montreal, spectacular biosphere and botanical garden of Montreal.
Food is the culture, religion of Montreal. Montreal is known for its wide panoply of gastronomic delights, and you’ll never run out of fun places to eat around. We had an great opportunity to try different cuisine around the city including French, Italian, Syrian J If you have plan to visit Montreal do try traditional pountine which is Squeaky cheese on top of fries and covered in gravy and believe me guys its super good .And don’t miss the French sweets and pastries specially fresh buttery croissants . We enjoyed every single moment there and food was most fun. Hope you guys had a awesome week!!
Lots of love
