Primer is the most important foundation to any make up. As many a makeup professional will tell you, the foundation for any great makeup look (and for transforming into your most photogenic self), is healthy, flawless skin. But for those of us not born with the complexion of a Victoria’s Secret supermodel, primers can swoop in to save the day. Primers can help by reducing the look of large pores, filling in fine lines, and preventing foundation from looking cakey. They also help with evening out the skin tone and making your makeup last much longer throughout the day! Primers are used after moisturizing your face as a base to makeup. I personally have tried so many primers. But these are my top favorites primers, which I can’t live without.
1. Mac prep +prime natural radiance base visage $41 -This is my first and mostly used primer. I have been using this since last 11 years. This beauty classic promotes even skin, moisturizes your skin, creates a ideal base for makeup. It’s a silky gel emulsion, hydrates and primes to improve foundation or powder application.
2. Too faced primer $30 – It has a unique texture that really absorbs into the skin, doesn’t clog pores or causes breakouts. It literally feels like silk on the face. This primer has retinol blend which regulates excess oil production, wicking away grease that can dissolve makeup but without drying out your skin.
3. Smash box photo finish foundation primer $36 – This is an amazing primer; this primer makes my skin really smooth, soft and Very hydrating. It glides on smooth and it photographs perfectly flawless.
4. Benefit Pore-fessional $31 – It has a slight nude color, oil free formula, long lasting glides easily, does an awesome job hiding and minimizing big pores. It’s the best product for those who have bigger pores and wrinkles.
5. Hourglass N.28 primer serum $65 – This is my new latest crush in all primers from all of my other collections. Since last few months I am using it and simply loving it. As my skin is on dry side it perfectly moisturizes my skin, intentionally hydrating giving it a smooth finish for preparing skin for makeup. No. 28 Primer Serum contains 28 skin-nourishing ingredients to age-proof skin and prep it for makeup.
